Carluccio’s is edging closer towards the magic 100 restaurant mark in the UK after confirming that its 96th site will open in Cheshire next month.
The Italian casual dining chain will operate its first Italian restaurant and food shop in a McArthur Glen designer outlet when it opens for business at the Cheshire Oaks development in May.
The 3,700 square foot site caters for 104 covers inside plus 48 outside on the south-facing terrace, and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner plus coffee and snacks to go.
While it is the 96th Carluccio’s restaurant in the UK, it is 117th restaurant worldwide.
Neil Wickers, CEO of Carluccio’s, said: “We’re looking forward to opening our first Carluccio’s at a McArthur Glen outlet and we’re sure that Cheshire Oaks will be the perfect location for our all-day dining format. With a deli selection and takeaway coffee too, we offer a great mix for shoppers on the go.”
The latest new site comes just a few weeks after Carluccio’s revealed plans to open its first Italian restaurant and food shop in a UK hotel this month.
The 5,000 square foot site will be located on the ground floor of the 304-bedroom London Marriott Regents Park hotel.
The restaurant will have its own entrance on Adelaide Road for non-hotel guests accessing it from the street.
Carluccio’s said the 200-cover restaurant will feature a full aperitivo and espresso bar, outdoor terrace, retail area and deli.
