Italian restaurant chain Bella Italia is targeting 40 new openings over the next two years as part of a strategic programme aimed at growing the business.
The move will also see its entire estate refurbished to ensure it remains at the forefront of the UK casual dining scene.
In order to support the growth, Bella Italia this week launched a dedicated careers website. It expects its store expansion plans to create more than 2,000 vacancies and the new site will allow candidates to keep an eye on upcoming positions.
New roles will cover front-of-house team members, chefs and management positions. Bella Italia said it intends to hire as many as 1,000 staff this year, including 400 in the south east and 200 in the north west. It will also recruit to support sites in the south west and the Midlands, while 150 positions will be available in London.
Bella Italia has created 200 roles in the last two months alone following the launch of stores in Ashton, Bristol, Dudley and Taplow.
Catherine McGuckin, HR director for Bella Italia, said: “We’re investing heavily in our employer brand, including the launch of a new recruitment website, and these roles are a reflection of that. This comes as part of our national investment programme, which will see our whole estate refurbished, alongside the 40 new openings, by 2017.”
Bella Italia currently operates more than 90 restaurants nationwide.
