Ambach is currently finalising plans for the future management of its UK business after confirming this morning that Alistair Farquhar is leaving the company at the end of the month.
Mr Farquhar has run Ambach’s business in the UK since 2013, steering it to growth and securing key contracts with major foodservice operators.
Ali Group’s business and brand development director John Braithwaite will temporarily take charge of Ambach UK on an interim basis until a permanent succession plan is in place.
Maurizio Vianello, managing director of Ambach, said Mr Braithwaite would bring stability to the business while it plotted its next move.
“John has always been part of Ambach UK and has supported the brand among the main consultants and dealers over the last decade; thanks to John for his availability to assist the brand during this period for Ambach.”
Mr Vianello added that he would be sad to see Mr Farquhar go following his efforts to take the brand forward in the UK.
“Alistair has worked with us for the last four years and has brought a great contribution to the business development and to the brand recognition in UK. Thanks to Alistair from all of us, for his co-operation with Ambach and we wish him all the best for his future career.”
The rest of Ambach UK organization will remain unchanged, with Mc Farlene Telfer arranging all service and project commissioning, and First Choice Catering Spares holding stocks of Ambach spare parts.
Mr Farquhar, who previously served in a national accounts role at Electrolux prior to joining Ambach, commented: “I want to take this opportunity to thank Ambach, Maurizio and John Braithwaite for these four great years. I am leaving Ambach with an excellent portfolio of projects and clients in UK and I am sure that the brand will continue with its growth.”
