Aqua Cure has announced that it has won a potentially significant catering equipment order from train operator Virgin Trains.
The agreement will see the Southport-based outfit will supply its new range of N-UV ultra violet sterilisers to Virgin. Two of the 24 watt versions of the stainless steel steriliser will be specified for each of the diesel fleet’s 15 catering carriages on the East Coast Mainline.
All water used for onboard catering appliances will be treated by the systems on journeys between London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Leeds.
Aqua Cure said the contract was “extremely promising” for the successful introduction of its U.V. systems on the East Coast Mainline as it potentially provides an opportunity to quote for the electric fleet when the contract for the supply of U.V. systems comes up for renewal soon.
Aqua Cure is a one-stop-shop for commercial water treatment solutions. It claims to be Europe’s largest manufacturer of in-line filters and master distributor for many other major filter manufacturers.
