Ali Group brand Baron claims it is seeing strong uptake of its standalone BBQ units as operators start to get ready for the summer period.
The BBQs are part of Baron’s ‘Royal Line’ of cooking appliances. It was officially introduced to the market during Hotelympia last year and Baron claims that sales and quotations for the units have “exceeded expectations”.
Roger Flanagan, managing director of Baron importer Universal Foodservice Equipment, says the BBQ units have been specified by a northern pub and restaurant chain to barbecue steaks, chops and quick service items such as burgers.
“The unit has reversible cast iron grill bars in the top which will cook meat on one side and fish on the other and can be selected side by side to suit the menu,” he said. “These are heavy duty, lift-off bars which can be easily cleaned.”
The units feature a powerful 32kW output and four independent adjustable heating zones, providing quick, flexible cooking.
Removable cast-iron flame deflectors under the burners provide even heat spread and longevity, while three pull-out drip trays will catch any debris.
The outer dimension of the BBQ units measure 1200mm x 920mm x 280mm, while the cooking surface spans 1080mm x 535mm.
