BBC tech geek to talk foodservice at industry conference

The presenter of the popular BBC technology show Click has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for a forthcoming catering equipment conference.

LJ Rich, the face of the weekly show, will speak at the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) on April 24 in Oxfordshire.

She will share her thoughts on the ‘Future Difference’ that emerging technology from 3D printers and digital apps to automated self-service restaurants will have in the UK foodservice sector.

Rich is described as a self-confessed ‘geek’ and started out as a musician who developed a passion for music technology which led to a job as a sound engineer for Pete Waterman before moving into television.

In her role at Click she covers social media trends and gadgets and she also speaks publicly about consumer and technology trends. Rich also runs her own music production company.

Formed more than 40 years ago, the Catering Equipment Distributors Association represents almost 100 of the leading catering equipment distributors in the UK, and partners with a number of the top catering equipment manufacturers.
