Burlodge bolsters product development team

Meal delivery transport systems manufacturer Burlodge has appointed Marco Rivola as its new global product development manager.

Rivola will lead the product development strategy for Burlodge, which is owned by the Ali Group, as it builds on its extensive range of products accommodating hot-line, cook-serve and cook-chill applications.

Marco RivolaAfter completing his mechanical engineer studies, Rivola started his career with N&W Global Vending, a leader in the production of automatic snack and beverage vending machines. He then gained his first experience of Burlodge before joining Imetec, an Italian company that delivers solutions for cooking and personal comfort.

It was here that he gained experience in designing and producing in markets such as Asia and he hopes to draw inspiration from that in his new role.

“Since Imetec was a consumer-based business, there was a particular emphasis on design and the user experience that I would like to further develop in Burlodge,” he explains.

Rivola believes that teamwork is fundamental for the success of a company, but also for the satisfaction of the individuals that work there. Even though Burlodge has always encouraged this free exchange of ideas and collaboration, he hopes to bring this concept into play even more as Burlodge develops its next generation of equipment. “The emphasis is less on being independent and more on being interdependent,” he comments.

Burlodge has been operating since 1984, with a particular focus on sectors such as healthcare, care homes and education.
