Center Parcs seeks catering equipment support for £200m build project

Center Parcs is seeking suppliers of F&B equipment and catering equipment maintenance to fulfil contracts at a new multimillion euro destination under construction in Ireland.

The leisure chain is reported to have already awarded supplier contracts worth €1m (£880,000) ahead of the Longford Forest launch next year, but still has gaps that it is looking to fill.

Yesterday it held an event in Atlone to meet with prospective firms interested in working with the business on the landmark project.

It is seeking F&B suppliers in a number of areas, including water coolers and vending machines, ice cream freezers, catering equipment maintenance, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning maintenance.

An extensive restaurant offering is planned for the 400-acre site, with Bella Italia, Huck’s American Bar & Grill, Rajinda Pradesh, Vitale Cafe Bar and The Canopy Cafe & Bar already pencilled in. It will also open a coffee shop and family dining restaurant, although the operators of those have not yet been named.

Construction firm Roadbridge was awarded the main infrastructure contract for Longford Forest and broke ground at the site last year.

The other two main constructions contracts for the €233m (£205m) investment programme have been given to John Sisk & Son. It is responsible for constructing 470 lodges and 30 apartments as well as the state-of-the-art centre buildings that will house all the leisure facilities, restaurants, bars and shops.

The resort will have capacity for up to 2,500 guests and employ up to 1,000 people in permanent jobs once operational.

Local newspaper, The Longford Leader, reported that Center Parcs was committed to using local suppliers wherever possible.
