ETM Group, the parent company for a 11 London gastropubs, has appointed Robert Hunger as head chef of The Gun in Docklands.
Hunger joins The Gun from the Great Gallery Kitchen at The Royal Automobile Club in London’s Pall Mall, where he was junior sous chef.
Prior to that, he worked for two-star Michelin restaurant, Eleven Madison Park in New York; Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort in Brisbane, Australia; and as demi chef and chef de Partie at London’s The Goring hotel in Belgravia.
At The Gun, Hunger will oversee all kitchen operations, supplier relations and the running of the food service from lunch through to dinner.
He is also responsible for menu planning and development as well as the daily sourcing of ingredients.
“I’ve always been a big fan of ETM as owners of some of my favourite London gastropubs and restaurants, admiring them especially for their commitment to sourcing the very best British ingredients. It’s great to now be working with the group and I’m really excited about what’s in store,” said Hunger.
