Former England rugby captain, Matt Dawson, and Newsnight and Dragon’s Den presenter, Evan Davis, will both be speaking at the CESA Conference 2016.

Dawson will give a keynote address where he will use his experience both on and off the pitch to consider the nature of leadership, teambuilding and performance culture. Davis will be there to facilitate the conference, which is organised in association with the FCSI UK&I, Cedabond and ENSE.

CESA’s 2016 conference, which takes place on November 17-18 at Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel, near Solihull, will aim to bring together a strong and diverse range of speakers from across the industry and beyond to discuss some of the most important issues currently affecting foodservice.

The conference will focus on the importance of teamwork and collaboration. The programme will include a presentation and discussion of specially commissioned research relating to issues concerning specification. There will also be an important debate discussing the unfolding consequences of the EU referendum and the potential outcomes of the UK leaving the European Union, according to the organisers.

Other presentations will include BIM and its effect on the digital economy, as well as a preview of the new website CESA is launching.

Simon Frost, chair of CESA, said: “The conference reflects the need of the whole industry to work together in the post-referendum climate. The topics under discussion this year affect everyone, and the kind of connections the conference makes happen can create real change.”

There will also be networking opportunities at the conference, with leading foodservice operators, consultants, manufacturers and distributors. Delegates can choose to play a round of golf at the Arden Championship Course on the November 17, or take part in an activity day.

An informal fundraising dinner will take place that evening, with the annual black tie gala dinner and awards ceremony taking place the following evening, after the conference.
