Exec chef returns to Restaurant Associates and Levy Leisure in dual culinary director role

Restaurant Associates and Levy Leisure have strengthened their senior management team with the appointment of a new culinary director who will work across both brands.

The company has confirmed David Simms, who boasts more than 20 years of industry experience, will take on the dual role at the start of June.

This appointment is a return to the business for Simms, who previously held the position of group hospitality executive chef at Restaurant Associates between 2005 and 2012.

Simms joins from the Corrigan Collection, where he held the position of managing director overseeing a large portfolio, including Bentleys Oyster Bar and Corrigan’s Mayfair.

Prior to this, Simms was the managing director of Simon Rogan’s UMBEL Restaurant Group, where he was responsible for the restaurant estate, including Fera at Claridge’s, Rogan & Co and two-Michelin-star, L’Enclume.

Levy Leisure is the official catering partner at a range of cultural, historical and visitor attractions in the UK, including Somerset House, IWM Duxford, to Salisbury Cathedral, world-famous Glyndebourne Festival and Edinburgh Zoo.
