Foodservice Equipment Journal is calling on you to nominate your kitchen stars of the year after officially opening the nomination process for the 2017 FEJ Power List.
Now in its third year, the FEJ Power List serves as a definitive guide to 40 high-flying end-user individuals responsible for specifying, purchasing and sanctioning commercial kitchens.
From culinary directors and group executive chefs to operations managers and heads of food development, the Power List celebrates the people and organisations that regard their kitchens as the heartbeat of their operations.
Whether it’s casual dining restaurants, pub groups, hotels, fast food chains or contract caterers, we want you to tell us which individuals and operators deserve to be honoured for their commitment and investment in kitchen best practice and innovation.
Last year’s Power List contained profiles of key management figures and catering equipment buyers from chains such as Mitchells & Butlers, Whitbread, Greene King, Carluccio’s and Starbucks – and this year we are looking for a different 40 faces to light up the list.
Further to that, this year’s Power List stars will feature in a not-to-be-missed, bumper edition of the October issue of FEJ.
FEJ editor, Andrew Seymour, said: “Over the past two years we have featured almost 100 individuals from multi-site operators that stand out for the investment they have made in new kitchens and catering projects. We are now asking for the industry’s help to identify the next crop of kitchen champions that deserve recognition for their commitment to creating efficient, well-planned commercial kitchens.”
The nomination process is incredibly simple, with operators are free to nominate people from within their own organisations. Catering equipment manufacturers and distributors are also invited to nominate any end-user customers they feel deserve recognition.
“The number of individual restaurant, bar and hotel brands that FEJ reaches out to on a daily basis collectively represents more than 27,000 outlets. Factor in the supermarkets, leisure and tourism sector and public sector procurement agencies and the number of properties that the procurement teams of these groups buy foodservice equipment for quickly shoots to in excess of 40,000. There is a huge market out there and it’s always an enjoyable and exercise to honour those that have been making a mark.”
Deadline for nominations is Friday 25 August 2017.
