PAUL opens its new bakery in Grand Central, Birmingham to offer French pâtisserie, artisanal sandwiches and gourmet coffee.

Ideally located at the heart of Birmingham within the new shopping centre alongside New Street Station, Paul Birmingham is the third regional opening outside of London.

The outlet will be open seven days a week from 7am until 8pm (7pm on Sundays) to pull in comuters, fresh-from-the-train tourists and shoppers.

Founded 125 years ago, PAUL is still a family-owned business built on the foundations of traditional French baking techniques.

Over the years, classic recipes have been updated to create the finest viennoiserie, delicate patisserie, hand-crafted cakes and signature range of award-winning breads all baked fresh on site each day.

Customers can choose from a formidable array of hand-made tarts, tartelettes, cakes and pastries including Millefeuille stacked with layers of thin puff pastry with vanilla custard.

For breakfast, among other pastries, all butter croissants are offered in plain, chocolate, raspberry, pistachio, almond or praline or soft warm brioche with a preserve of choice.

Savoury snacks offerings include new range of hot filled croissants at £2.95 with tomato, mozzarella and pesto, ham and cheese or mushrooms and grilled cheese.

For lunch a wide selection of gourmet baguettes and salads is available from just £3.

When the cold weather bites, a warming selection of seasonal soups, croques, quiches and artisan pizzas also be on the menu.

Designed in the iconic black and white favoured by PAUL, the restaurant also features traditional oak beams and black and white photography of the PAUL family and master bakers at work to contrasts with French-style wall lamps and chequered monochrome floor tiles.
