Giraffe will launch its sixth airport site this month after teaming up with TRG Concessions to open a restaurant at Birmingham Airport.
It will be the eighth site in the 10-year TRG and giraffe partnership, and is part of Birmingham Airport’s commitment to improving the passenger dining experience.
TRG has invested in excess of £1m into the 173 cover, 3,800 square foot restaurant, which is designed by Harrison and will open for business on May 22.
The menu will include a range of all-day breakfast dishes, a selection of sandwiches, burgers and salads as well as sharing platters and seasonal chef’s specials, while smoothies, freshly-pressed juices and gourmet coffees and teas will be available throughout the day.
Food will be cooked to order, with staff aiming to serve all dishes within 15 minutes to appeal to time-poor travellers.
Sam Anstey, director of franchising and brand marketing at Giraffe, comments: “We are proud to be partnering up again with The Restaurant Group Concessions and open at Birmingham Airport this month. We will continue our long-standing relationship with TRG who have been the perfect partner for us and invested considerably in delivering our award-winning brand within UK airports.”
TRG Concessions operates Giraffe restaurants in Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted. As the specialist travel food and beverage operator of The Restaurant Group, it operates a number of own brands and carefully-selected franchise partners suited to the travel market.
