CESA chairman Glenn Roberts has been awarded a Doctorate of Foodservice (DFS) by NAFEM, the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers.
Mr Roberts, sales director at BRITA Professional and the former UK boss of Gram, was presented with the award during the NAFEM Show in Florida earlier this month.
A NAFEM spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank Glenn for his contributions to the industry at large and to the Catering Equipment Suppliers’ Association (CESA) specifically.”
He was presented with the award by Kevin Fink, president of NAFEM and president of Standex Refrigerated Solutions Group.
Roberts became chair of the trade association, which represents more than 180 catering equipment suppliers, in November last year.
Keith Warren, director of CESA, said the award was well deserved.
“He’s a dynamic and committed leader who has made a big impact on the industry, especially in areas such as sustainability and training, both through his professional work and his involvement in CESA,” stated Mr Warren.
