Ventilation providers sign UK sales pact

Reco-Air

Commercial kitchen ventilation specialist, Halton Foodservice, has signed a global distribution agreement that makes it the exclusive distributor of Reco-Air’s patented pollution control system.

Specifically for use with electric cooking equipment, the range of compact and versatile Reco-Air units provide complete, recirculation ventilation system returning clean, odourless air, negating the need for costly riser ducts discharging to atmosphere.

Craig Gould, customer services manager at Halton, explains: “The system in currently in use in most of the Ed’s Easy Diner restaurant chain, the latest one in London was recently opened at London Victoria. The system uses a four-stage filtration process to remove, grease moisture and steam, smoke and odour, all monitored remotely and serviced by Halton’s qualified service team.

“This system has the potential to save on long costly duct runs, or even more impressively, enable catering establishments to operate in areas where ducting to the external areas is impossible. With this system we really can enable a ‘pop up restaurant’ to ‘pop-up’ anywhere.”

The product is only suitable for electric installations, explains Gould, as harmful toxins created by the burning of gas and solid fuels cannot be taken out of the airstream efficiently enough to risk recirculating them back into working or eating areas.
