The expansion of a retail park in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, is attracting a raft of quick service and casual dining outlets.
£1 million is being invested to expand the Etruria Road retail park, according to local newspaper The Sentinel, which has encouraged TGI Friday’s, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut and Wok & Go to plan openings in the city centre.
Nando’s and Bella Italia have already committed to the area, which is being developed by Jenics.
TGI Friday’s says it could have two sites in Hanley. “The selection of a unit on Etruria Road does not prejudice us taking another unit in the city centre. We are able to trade successfully in both locations at the same time,” a company spokesperson said.
The Intu Potteries city centre shopping centre is also adding to its foodservice roster with openings from Nando’s, Pizza Express and Gourmet Burger joining Starbucks and Costa Coffee.
