Hoshizaki is set to expand its popular Snowflake Generation II portfolio, with the launch of a series of versatile ‘Drawer Refrigeration Counter’ units in an assortment of sizes and formats.
Engineered to perform in the most demanding of environments, the new drawer units are available in a collection of six different configurations, each designed to complement the existing models in the Snowflake range.
With a standard height of 854mm, and an optional castor kit to raise the working height to 900mm also available, the counters can extend the prep surface within a compact kitchen environment.
For those sites lacking in space, the 22-L1 drawer unit features four equal sized compartments, each suitable for two x 1/1 GN containers. At a length of 1310mm and a standard depth of 700mm, the unit achieves outstanding kitchen optimisation, according to the brand.
Alternatively, the largest unit in the range is the 2222-L1 unit, featuring eight drawers, each suitable for two x 1/1 GN containers. The model features a length of 2241mm with a standard depth of 700mm, generating a remarkable refrigerated storage space of up to 255 litres. The four central units that make up the new refrigeration range offer a choice of configurations and space for between seven and sixteen 1/1 GN trays.
The new units in the Snowflake Generation II series, are available with an optional 100mm welded splash back for enhanced hygiene and spillage control, while anti-tilt drawers ensure greater safety for those operating within the kitchen environment.
A vivid LED display, variable temperature control and operational range of between -2°c – +8°c further enhances flexibility, while Hoshizaki’s innovative ‘Tropicalised cooling system’ ensures the refrigerators function in ambient temperatures of up to +40°c.
In line with the Hoshizaki ethos of manufacturing sustainable, energy saving equipment, the new Snowflake Gen II drawer counters feature the very latest HC-compliant refrigerant and a high-density polyurethane insulation to deliver ongoing efficiency.

The new Drawer Refrigeration Counters further expand on this range by strengthening the versatility of the portfolio and delivering enhanced flexibility to a kitchen setup thanks to the distinctive design and added work surface that is achieved from installing one of the new units. To aid efficiency and maintenance, the units feature double insulated, extra wide magnetic removable gaskets, automatic defrost and fully compliant HACCP controls.”
