Hotel chain drafts in F&B veteran to run European foodservice ops

FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the operator behind the Raffles, Fairmont and Swissotel brands, has named a new VP for food and beverage for its European operations.

Martin Jones, who will be based out of the group’s regional office in Zurich, will be responsible for the company’s F&B operations after joining from Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he has led the Asia Pacific division for the last six years.

Jones has more than 30 years’ experience of the hotel chain industry, holding different management level positions with a constant focus on food and beverage. He has worked for Sheraton, Westin, Hayman Island resorts and Intercontinental during his time in the business.

He holds a Hotel Management diploma from the Ryde School of Catering in Australia and also studied food and beverage management at Cornell University in the US.
