Jestic Foodservice Equipment is introducing the Josper Robata Grill to the UK market.
The Robata grill, named after the Japanese Robatayaki style of fireside cooking, is designed for skewered food to be slowly grilled over hot charcoal.
Cooking over the intense heat helps the food to take on rich smoky flavour while remaining tender and succulent, just as the chef intended, Josper says.
Josper’s focus on design makes the grill ideal for a front of house setting where customers can watch the cooking process and the barbequed aroma can bring the dining room to life.
The standard unit has four skewer supports, three charcoal grates, three ash pans and a poker. A Teppanyaki griddle is an optional extra.
The Robata Grill has a compact footprint of just 1240mm x 410mm x 660mm.
“Combining an innovative and unique cooking concept developed in Japanese cuisine with an appliance that allows chefs to truly showcase their creative flair makes the Josper Robata Grill a great addition to an open plan kitchen. Able to produce beautifully rich, aromatic dishes and finished in a sleek, eye-catching design, customers will be intrigued by the cooking process and captivated by the outstanding flavour of their dishes,” said Michael Eyre, product director of Jestic.
