Jestic uses acquisition to strengthen service ties with chains

Foodservice equipment specialist Jestic says it will be better placed to meet the service needs of multi-site customers following its recent takeover of London-based Hugall Services.

Hugall Services already provides support for several flagship chain operators and is the authorised service and parts agents for several leading brands, including Middleby Marshall and Wood Stone, both of which Jestic distributes.

Steve Loughton, managing director of Jestic, told FEJ that the deal gives the company more resource to ensure operators’ catering equipment is taken care of.

“The acquisition of Hugall gives Jestic an even greater portfolio of specialist service engineers, most of whom are already servicing a range of chain-orientated equipment,” he explained. “For our customers, it means Jestic is perfectly placed to offer a full range of packages; from increasingly important preventative maintenance programmes that are designed to minimise unscheduled downtime, right through to supporting both clients and FM companies on surpassing Service Level Agreements by guaranteeing even greater first time fix rates and improved response times.”

Hugall Services is Jestic’s second major catering equipment service acquisition in the space of just over a year. it also bought Croydon-based ServEquip.

Hugall Service has been operating in the market for 25 years. It is an authorised service agent for Bakers Pride, Enodis, Franke, Lincoln, Middleby Marshall and Wood Stone. The company claims to have the largest stock of Lincoln and Middleby Marshall spares in the UK, and carries a wide range of Hobart and Winterhalter warewashing parts.
