Lincat hires sales chief to manage chain accounts

Catering equipment manufacturer Lincat has appointed a new national accounts manager whose role will be to work with key restaurant chains that the company serves.

Richard Brown, who has 25 years of sales experience, will look after Lincat’s business with operators such as Whitbread, Mitchells & Butlers, Wetherspoons, Tesco, as well as develop new accounts.

Lincat said Brown brings a “strong record” of delivering significant profit growth in the capital equipment market to the role.

He previously worked as business development manager at Dawson Foodservice Equipment, and also spent a year at Falcon Foodservice Equipment earlier in his career.

The company said: “Richard is well respected within the industry. He has previously worked for other commercial catering equipment manufacturers, selling to independent and national account end-users, specifiers and resellers.”

Brown forms part of an expanded sales team headed up by recently-promoted sales director Rob Gibson.

Lincat produces over 450 separate products for cooking, holding and food display. The company also manufactures and markets 160 products under the FriFri and Q90 brands.
