Lincat has taken stock of a new range of SelfCooking Centers that it licenses from Rational, including a much-anticipated compact model.
Rational announced the availability of the new ovens at a launch event at Twickenham Stadium earlier this month – and Lincat today confirmed it can now offer the same systems with its own badge on.
The ‘Opus SelfCooking Centers’ from Lincat are identical in every way to current Rational combis, apart from their Lincat nameplate. Rational has similar country-exclusive resale agreements with catering equipment manufacturers in other major markets.
Helen Applewhite, marketing manager of Lincat, said: “Rational chooses a partner in every territory which can offer combis to the market place as part of a broader package, which is to say with other items of cooking equipment. This is because a significant number of customers prefer to buy the most advanced combi technology available, together with other equipment for their kitchen, from a single, trusted, supplier.”
Lincat says the new compact model, Opus SelfCooking Center XS, delivers all the power, intelligence and efficiency of its full sized counterparts, from a minimum of floor space.
The oven has a footprint of 550mm x 655mm and is a 6 x GN2/3 unit, which incorporates features from the larger GN1/1 and GN2/1 models. Perfect for even the smallest kitchen, it can be sited on a counter top or optional wall brackets or floor stands. When combined with a matching UltraVent fume and condensation hood, the XS can be built into any installation, making it great for front of house applications.
Lincat says the new Opus SelfCooking Center has an updated touchscreen display and a more powerful central processing unit (CPU), which they say has cut the start up time to just 24 seconds. They claim that efficiency is maximised by new LED lighting with optional iLevelControl rack signalling, triple glass doors and an energy consumption display.
