Lockhart Catering Equipment is returning to Manchester for the second year in a row to host operators eager to gain an insight to the latest kitchen kit on the market.
‘The Show’ — a special one-day exhibition put on by Lockhart and its supplier partners at Old Trafford — will provide catering equipment buyers with an opportunity to view what the top brands have to offer.
This year’s exhibition will take place on Wednesday July 1, running from 09.30 to 16.00. The event is backed by key Lockhart supply partners such as Rational, Rubbermaid, Steelite, Utopia, Churchill and Dudson.
The exhibition is free for pre-registered buyers to attend and will feature kit from more than 35 brands. An ‘innovation zone’ will showcase the latest products and trends that operators can tap into.
One of the highlights of the event — which is also held for buyers in the south at Wembley Stadium every September — is the live chef demonstrations.
The Ritz’s Ruth Hansom, who is the reigning World Skills Chef of the year, and The Gilpin Hotel’s executive head chef, Hrishikesh Desai, who won Alex Polizzi’s Chefs on Trial programme, are both lined up to appear.
Ben Champkin, Young National Chef of the Year two years ago, who currently works at L’Enclume in Cumbria, and April Partridge, last year’s Craft Guild Graduate Award winner, will also be showing off their culinary skills.
Lockhart will be hoping the event receives a similar response to the one it got last year when it was launched. “The feedback we’ve received has been phenomenal,” said Paul Nieduszynski, managing director of Bunzl Lockhart Catering Equipment at the time. “We were able to showcase genuine innovation to visitors and also provide them with the latest industry trends and insights to ensure they continue to raise their game.”
