M to open second multi-function destination in London

The network of outlets under the M umbrella is expanding across London with a second multi-function venue set to open in Victoria later this year.

M is a fast-growing portfolio of restaurants and bars created by Martin Williams (pictured), formerly managing director of Gaucho.

M Raw, M Grill, M Bar and M Wine combine to deliver up-market dining and drinking to London’s well-healed and health-conscious consumers.

The second M destination on Victoria Street, will feature two restaurants: M Raw and M Grill, a boutique wine store (M Wine Store), bar, private dining rooms, and a secret members club (M Den) complete with a miniature cinema.

Executive Chef Michael Reid, who trained at both Le Gavroche and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, will return from Melbourne to London to open the project and remain with M full time.

“I am delighted that due to the success of M Threadneedle Street, we have managed to open M Victoria Street six months ahead of plan. The M Wine Store brand and the Private Members Bar are incredibly exciting new additions to the M family. We look forward to being the first of the new breed of high quality restaurants arriving in Victoria,” says M Founder Martin Williams.

“Bringing Michael Reid back to the UK to join us full time is a real coup. He is one of the most talented chefs of his generation and an expert in ‘world food’. I can’t wait for his impact to hit the London restaurant scene,” he adds.
