Manitowoc promotes UK sales chief to director role

Manitowoc Foodservice has promoted Steve Hemsil to the role of sales director for the UK and Ireland, with immediate effect.

Hemsil will assume line management responsibilities for Manitowoc Foodservice’s regional UK accounts and serve as the “driving force” behind the company’s UK & Ireland distribution strategy, as well as managing the culinary and training teams, sales managers and the sales administration divisions.

Hemsil has been working in the industry since 1999 and joined Manitowoc (then Enodis)in 2004 as regional sales manager for the South West, working closely with current CESA chairman Simon Frost.  He then moved on to become a key account sales manager and then to his latest role as national sales manager for the UK & Ireland.

Now, as sales director for the UK & Ireland, Hemsil will continue to focus on and expand the role, as well as maintain and develop relationships with both existing and new customers with emphasis on brands such as Convotherm, Merrychef, Frymaster and Lincoln brands.
