Mitchells & Butlers has honoured Marren’s technical manager Kane Needs with an award for his work in ensuring its kitchens are fully equipped with everything they need to function.
Northamptonshire-based Marren has worked closely with Mitchells & Butlers for a number of years and, given the group boasts almost 2,000 sites, many of the projects it undertakes are complex and demanding.
Mr Needs has been instrumental in keeping a strong supply line from start to finish for many of these projects within the estate, leading M&B to highlight its work during its recent partner event.
He remains a constant point of contact for M&B – even during out-of-hours – and works tirelessly to ensure the necessary steps are taken to keep the flow of equipment on track and resolve any issues that might arise.
As Marren is traditionally a service company, it said that having a member of its team recognised for their level of service in the supply chain is an “incredible achievement” in its own right.
Mr Needs said the award was completely unexpected. “To be recognised for a lot of hard work and hours spent keeping everything streamlined is a great feeling. I can’t thank the people at Mitchells & Butlers who voted for me enough, as this will always be a great career memory for me.”
Marren has been operating for more than 30 years and offers a comprehensive range of specialist maintenance for the foodservice industry in the UK, particularly in the field of accelerated cooking.
