Monika responds to tech savvy operators with new appointment

Piero Mollica, software developer

Wireless temperature monitoring specialist Monika has expanded its product development team to keep up with increasingly tech savvy operators.

It has appointed Piero Mollica to the company’s newly created software developer role. The firm said that the appointment characterises the company’s vision for growth and expansion through pioneering product development in both the short and long term future.

Having recently graduated from The University of Catania with a degree in Computer Science, Mollica will work alongside the existing technical and product management teams at Monika to continue to develop temperature and task monitoring solutions.

The company hopes his expertise and experience in coding and his knowledge of the latest in advanced computer science will complement the IT and engineering capability of Monika’s current development team.

Commenting on his recent appointment, Mollica said: “I am delighted to be joining Monika at such a key time for this innovative, forward-thinking business. With excellent plans and projects in place to develop on the company’s existing range of food safety solutions, I am eager to understand more about our customers’ requirements and to put my knowledge into practice to continue to advance our systems and the service we can provide.”

Monika’s managing director, Simon Frost said: “We’re delighted to welcome Piero to our team at Monika. His enthusiasm and passion for technology and his knowledge of the latest innovative systems will help us to develop our product portfolio and service we are able to offer our customers across the industry.

“With technology being such a key part of our business philosophy, we have shaped some truly exciting plans and ground-breaking ideas for the future of temperature monitoring and our brand as a whole. Investing in the technical team with the creation of this new software developer position will reaffirm our commitment to innovation in the sector.”
