Marks & Spencer’s new 40,000 sq ft store is set to open at Westfield’s The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford on 5 November.
The new premises feature a 9,000 sq ft food hall and a 160-cover M&S café alongside the retailer’s fashion and homeware items. The café will serve freshly-made dishes using ingredients from the Foodhall and an extensive selection of drinks and Fairtrade tea and coffee.
The M&S café will compete against 46 other stores and food outlets, such as Sainsbury’s, Debenhams, Burger King, Love Koffee and Pattisserie Valerie.
The store will replace another M&S on Darley Street, which will close the day before, with all employees and departments moving to the new venue.
Store manager, Steven King, said: “I am looking forward to welcoming customers to our new home at The Broadway Bradford. The new store will offer customers an even bigger and better range of fashion, beauty, homeware and food, as well as a 160-seat M&S Café.
“We hope that new and old customers will join us on 5 November to see all of the new and exciting features that we will be bringing to the area.”
Myf Ryan, Westfield Director of marketing said: “We are delighted to be welcoming M&S to The Broadway in November. M&S is a great addition to our retailer line-up and will play a big part in creating an unrivalled shopping environment for the people of Bradford.”
M&S Darley Street will close on Wednesday 4 November, ahead of the new store opening at The Broadway on Thursday 5 November.
All employees and departments will move across to the new store, which will give customers a much bigger M&S offer and an improved shopping experience.
