Malibu Corporation has launched a new brand of premium slush drink which it says offers foodservice operators a “hassle free solution to deliver high profits”.
The brand, called ‘Huskee’, aims to capitalise on slush drink profit margins, which Malibu claims can work out at more than 75%. Malibu launched the drink following customer feedback and plans to deliver a range of high visibility and eye-catching point of sale material which includes posters, swing signs and machine decals.
Malibu claims that one in three convenience stores already sell slush, but the new equipment and POS package will help savvy retailers stand out from the crowd.
Huskee was selected by the company’s focus group from a range of characters and Mailbu said it was evident that the use of huskies in popular TV shows such as Game of Thrones would only strengthen the brand.
Malibu has been supplying slush machines and premium syrups to the UK market for more than 20 years.
The company said the Huskee character is central to the brand’s identity and claims that it will encourage brand loyalty and build repeat business.
