Wagamama waltzes into Peterborough with kitchen to feed 150 diners

Pan-Asian restaurant chain Wagamama is set to open a 150-seat restaurant in Peterborough city centre creating 39 new jobs.

A variety of new and classic dishes from the Japanese-inspired menu will be available for diners to select, including wagamama’s famed ramen; bowls of fragrant soup filled with noodles, which can be now customised by choosing one of three new stocks.

Those looking for a spicier dish can opt for the popular prawn firecracker or the tofu chilli salad. Lighter favourites such as small plates such as chicken gyozas or edamame shaken with chilli and salt will also be on the menu alongside an extensive choice of fresh juices, desserts and beverages. Wagamama also offers a range of dishes designed especially for kids.

The new restaurant will feature the iconic wagamama canteen-style benches in addition to the introduction of breakout areas and booths for groups looking to enjoy a longer dining experience. There will also be a take-out service available.

Simon Cope, global brand director, told the Peterborough Today: “We are very pleased to be opening the doors to our new restaurant in Peterborough this summer, where wagamama will continue to reinforce positive eating by using fresh ingredients, served in atmospheric surroundings. It’s an exciting time for us and we look forward to hearing what our new and valued customers in Peterborough make of our arrival.”
