Nisbets heads to Exeter as retail empire expands

Nisbets’ catering retail empire continues to grow after the company confirmed yesterday that it is to open its 11th store in Exeter.

Bricks n’ mortar retail is becoming an increasingly important sales channel for the company, which for a long time only operated a showroom at its Bristol HQ and a store in London from when it took over the former Pages business.

In the last two years it has ramped up the store network, most recently adding showrooms in Brighton, Nottingham and Cardiff.

The Exeter store will open its doors at 9am on Monday 7th September and stock more than 3,000 products.

Nisbets 8 - hi resNisbets is hoping to tap into a catchment area of more than 6,000 hospitality businesses. It also hopes its city centre location will make it easily accessible to local caterers wanting equipment immediately.

Nisbets’ head of retail, Steve Collins, said: “Feedback from our customers indicates that they like to have the opportunity to see and feel the products, which is why having a retail presence in a vibrant hospitality area such as Exeter is key to continuing our excellent levels of service. We look forward to welcoming local catering professionals into the store.”

As well as offering a ‘Call, Pay & Collect Service’, allowing orders to be placed over the phone then collected in store within an hour, customers will also be able to check stock levels via a new ‘Store Stock Checker’ function on the Nisbets website.
