Catering equipment giant Nisbets operates one of the busiest call centres in the industry – and it’s just been named the best in its area at a local business awards.
The Bristol-based outfit, which turned over £321m worth of catering equipment last year, landed the Contact Centre (Medium Sized) of the Year Award at the South West Contact Centre Forum (SWCCF) Awards.
Winners must demonstrate world-class customer service and be considered an extraordinary place to work.
Simon O’Mahony, marketing director at Nisbets, said: “To be recognised for the day-to-day care and assistance we regularly give our customers is extremely rewarding. A contact centre will only ever be as good as the call handlers within it, and thanks to a thorough in-house training programme and dedicated team, I am delighted that Nisbets has been recognised as having one of the best. Such an accolade can only be good news to our many customers, as they can be confident of receiving some of the best advice in the industry.”
In addition to the corporate success, Nisbets’ Luke Harrison was named ‘Apprentice of the Year’ for outstanding occupational progress as well as practical and theoretical application of skills and an overall positive approach to employment.
The SWCCF is an industry-led initiative supporting call and contact centre businesses across the South West.
Nisbets is the UK’s largest supplier of catering equipment with more than 25,000 products available from brands such as Buffalo, Polar, Vogue, Waring and Chef Works.
