Nisbets has reduced its free-of-charge delivery threshold to £30 until the end of next month, the company has announced.
The Bristol-based outfit believes the free delivery threshold is one of the lowest available across the foodservice sector and will give added cashflow support to customers at a time when many operators are replenishing catering supplies.
Lynn King, marketing, brand and customer experience director at Nisbets, said: “We are always looking for ways in which we can offer our customers added value and ease the burdens they face while trying to deliver an excellent customer experience. Reducing our free next-day delivery charge to just £30 is yet another way we are showing our continued support for our customers during the current challenging trading conditions.”
The offer includes guaranteed next-day delivery when customers spend £30 and order before 8pm Monday-Thursday. The deal will run until 30 September 2018.
Nisbets said the good summer weather had boosted restaurant visits, but that had also created additional usage and supply challenges for operators.
It hopes that by reducing the free delivery order threshold, its customers can place smaller orders as and when they need to, allowing them to concentrate on delivering exceptional service rather than on forecasting for every eventuality or storage concerns.
