Nisbets will today throw open the doors of a new retail store in Nottingham, the second catering equipment showroom it has launched in as many months.
The commercial kitchen supplies specialist has spent the weekend putting the final touches to the city centre store, which began trading at 9am this morning.
The launch comes just six weeks after it opened a showroom in Brighton. Nisbets, which is best known for its mail order catalogues and online business, now operates nine stores in the UK following a campaign to expand into bricks-and-mortar retail over the past three years.
The Nottingham store is stocking 2,500 best-selling products, but can access up to 20,000 items from its central warehouse on a next-day basis.
Nisbets hopes the convenience of the showroom will appeal to local caterers wanting equipment immediately. It will also offer a ‘Call, Pay & Collect Service’, meaning customers can order over the phone, and then collect in store, usually within one hour.
The Fletcher Gate store will open from 9am to 5.30pm on Monday to Saturday, but will remain closed on Sundays.
Nisbets also has three stores in London, as well as Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
