Catering equipment supplier Nisbets’ retail store network is set to move into double figures after the company confirmed that it will open a showroom in Cardiff later this month.
The Welsh capital will become the home of Nisbets’ 10th outlet when it opens for business at 9am on Monday 20 July.
It will offer more than 3,000 of the company’s best-selling professional catering products, while an additional 20,000 items will be made available for next-day delivery.
As with other sites, Nisbets has secured a city centre location in a bid to appeal to chefs and caterers that want instant access to equipment and kitchenwares.
Nisbets will offer a ‘Call, Pay & Collect Service’, allowing customers to order over the phone, and then collect in store, usually within one hour.
Nisbets launched as a catalogue only business in 1983, but has since grown to develop a strong online presence in addition to a portfolio of retail stores in London (three), Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Brighton and, most recently, Nottingham.
The expansion of its showroom model contributed to the company increasing sales by 16% to £227m last year.
The Cardiff store will open from 9am to 5.30am six days a week. It remains closed on Sundays.
