Red Chilli Restaurant Ltd, a Chinese restaurant group with a number of sites in the north-west of England, has entered administration, it has emerged.
The firm, which operates two restaurants in Manchester and one site each in Leeds and York, has sought the help of insolvency practitioners Beesley Corporate Solutions in Cheshire.
It was appointed on April 24, according to an official legal notice.
Joint administrators for the business are Mark Beesley and Tracy Clowry, who are said to be seeking a buyer for the group, which mainly specialises in Beijing and Sichuan dishes and has won a number of industry food awards.
It is understood that Red Chilli Restaurant’s sites in Leeds, York and Oxford Road, Manchester are continuing to trade.
A notice on its website says that its Portland Street restaurant in Manchester is “closed for refurbishments” until the end of May. It advises customers to use its Oxford Road restaurant.
