Pan-Asian buffet chain Mimosa is expanding its UK presence after signing up to the £45m Dolphin Square leisure scheme in Weston town centre.
Mimosa, which offers more than 60 dishes from India, China, Malaysia and Thailand, has agreed tied up with property developer McLaren Life to take a corner unit at the site.
According to the Weston Mercury, Mimosa becomes the fifth restaurant chain to sign up to the development, following in the footsteps of Nando’s, Pizza Express, Prezzo and Real China.
The restaurant will be Mimosa’s fourth restaurant. It currently operates sites in Aldershot, Camberley and Telford.
Sundip Grewal, managing director of Mimosa, said the company is delighted to be part of this exciting scheme.
“We see this central location being ideal for our format to provide a lunchtime dining experience to appeal to shoppers and workers and also the night time experience to appeal to the visitors for the cinema. We also will be including a new concept for our business of an adjacent function room for parties or events.”
McLaren Life managing director, Alastair Bell, said Mimosa had agreed a 5,000 square foot premises at the site. “This is very positive news for the scheme…we hope to make further announcements in the near future.”
