Peyton and Byrne group grows business to five sites

Peyton and Byrne, the artisan bakery chain, owned by renowned restaurateur Oliver Peyton is going from strength to strength with the opening of a fifth store on London’s Great Portland Street.

The opening of the new site builds on its existing outlets in Hammersmith, Greenwich, Central St Giles and Covent Garden.

The 1,000 square foot, 40-cover site has retained its original features including its Victorian façade and herringbone parquet floor paired with a crafted herringbone slip brick counter display featuring greens, whites and smoky greys.

Custom-made ceramic pendant lighting, commissioned by Turning Earth, illuminate the display of homemade products and integrated ‘grab and go’ bar. A mix of ash chairs and two Peyton and Byrne bespokely upholtered banquettes accommodate in store dining in addition to outdoor seating.

Open from 8am – 8pm, the Great Portland Street outlet will also launch a new range of Peyton and Byrne products, set to be available across the group, including classic seasonal products and new savoury items.

Oliver Peyton said: “We are delighted to have expanded our list of bakeries to five and to launch our new product range at the Great Portland Street bakery. This bakery will be the perfect place to stock up for an impromptu picnic in Regent’s Park, while also catering to local office workers looking for a quality weekday lunch.”
