Casual restaurant chain Pizza Hut International has announced that it is restructuring its European business amid plans to further accelerate growth across the region.
Two separate units are to be consolidated in the plans with the Pizza Hut Europe and Pizza Hut UK & Ireland teams becoming one central entity: Pizza Hut Europe & UK.
The new division, headed by newly appointed managing director Raphael Miolane, previously CEO of Pizza Hut UK & Ireland, will lead the European business through a period of expansion and development.
The restructuring has strengthened Pizza Hut’s capabilities in brand strategy, growth and customer experience and will enable the company to finance additional digital technologies throughout the European region.
The newly created role of general manager of Pizza Hut Delivery and Express UK will be filled by Neil Manhas, who brings over a decade of experience within the business to the role, most recently as Pizza Hut UK & Ireland’s Chief Financial Officer.
He said: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of General Manager and look forward to building on the outstanding work Raphael began in this market.
“Pizza Hut is entering an exciting period and the priority for the UK market is to expand our franchisee estate, improve customer experience and develop our digital capabilities across the region. I am eager to work closely with our brilliant team of employees and franchisees to drive growth for a business I am deeply passionate about.”
Raphael Miolane, managing director of Pizza Hut Europe & UK, joined Pizza Hut’s parent company Yum! Brands in 2009 and has since enjoyed a successful career with both sister company KFC and Pizza Hut.
He commented: “Across the European region, we are continuing to invest in our franchisees and to build our reputation as one of the most loved, and fastest growing, global brands. This is a really exciting time for our business and I am pleased to be working closely with Neil and our European leadership team to further our ambitions across Europe.”
