A catering services director has been employed at one of the UK’s top football grounds.
Julie Tandy has taken the helm at Goodison Park, home to Everton Football Club, following an 18-month stint as general manager at Huddersfield’s The John Smith’s Stadium.
The conference and event facilities at both venues are managed by UK catering company Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events.
Natasha Carr, marketing manager at Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, said: “Julie is a very strong commercial operator who, during her time at The John Smith’s Stadium, acquired a thorough understanding and appreciation of the opportunities stadia bring to the conference and events market.”
In a career spanning almost 20 years, Tandy has held management roles with some of the UK’s most prestigious arts organisations, including front-of-house manager at the National Portrait Gallery and project manager at Sadler’s Wells Trust.
She also worked extensively within the leisure industry, as regional manager for LA Fitness and general manager at the Lingfield Park Racecourse, prior to joining the Sodexo team at The John Smith’s Stadium, which is home to Huddersfield Town Football Club and Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Club.
