Two of the commercial refrigeration market’s biggest adversaries are set to take their rivalry onto the football pitch with a charity match that will raise funds for the children’s ward of a local hospital.

Employees from Foster Refrigerator and Williams Refrigeration, both based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk have agreed to play against each other on Saturday 5 August for the Rudham Ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

Martin Laws, marketing manager at Williams Refrigeration, said: “We’re really excited about the upcoming match.  We’re both large employers in the area, and of course the hospital is close to the hearts of all our colleagues.  The fact that we compete in the same industry but share a common cause was great motivation for us all to get involved. We’re really looking forward to raising as much money as we can.”

Nick Bamber, head of marketing at Foster Refrigerator , added: “We’re committed to supporting our local community and this game is the ideal way to do just that. Both of our businesses have been based in the area for a long time, and for us to be able to help raise money for The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is fantastic.  I am sure both teams will play it ‘cool’ and enjoy the match!”

Both companies have already pledged donations to the cause, and anyone willing to support the event further can do so through the JustGiving page HERE.
