Filmore & Union has followed the likes of Deliveroo, Bill’s, Bella Italia and Café Rouge in deploying new software that automates checklists across its business.
The agreement sees the chain introducing tech provider Trail’s smart checklist platform in all 15 of its restaurants and take-out delis, as the business streamlines its systems to increase efficiency across its growing estate and frees up team members’ time to focus on the customer.
Trail’s platform, which can be integrated with Epos, rotas and other digital systems to become a central operations hub for large estates, gives a step-by-step list of daily tasks to help operators maintain standards and best practice across multiple sites.
Laura Peaden, operations manager at Filmore & Union, said: “Introducing software can often be a painful process, but our experience with Trail couldn’t be further from the case. Our team members have really embraced the technology as it’s easy to use and fundamentally makes their lives easier, giving them more time to focus on creating exceptional customer experiences.”
This latest addition to Trail’s growing portfolio comes after a transformational 2017 where it added a series of notable client partnerships from across the hospitality sector, including Ei Group, Deliveroo, Bill’s, Bella Italia, Café Rouge, New World Trading Company, Bone Daddies and Tossed.
Joe Cripps, managing director and co-founder at Trail, said: “Too often tech is seen as complicated and confusing. Our aim has always been to dispel this myth and focus on doing simple things extremely well, so that we can save labours hours, reduce admin and, ultimately, make the life of hospitality workers easier.
“It’s no secret, the industry is facing a series of headwinds and will increasingly look to technology to understand how it can help. Regardless of what happens with Brexit, the churn rate of workers within the industry, as well as health and safety compliance, will be two issues that will continue to be front and centre for operators.”
