Revolution Bars Group is to open two new sites under the Revolución de Cuba brand this month in Aberdeen, its first in Scotland, and also Reading, increasing its portfolio to 12 across the UK.
Launching next week, Revolución de Cuba Aberdeen will be located within the Academy Shopping Centre and is housed within a 5,200 sq ft listed building.
With Cuban-inspired interiors, the 130-cover site includes an outdoor bandstand with 40 covers, a Havana bar and a live music stage.
The Reading Revolución de Cuba will open on Friar Street later this month. Spread across two floors, the 5,700 sq ft, 170-cover site features a retractable roof on the first floor, which will be used year round to accommodate 40 additional covers with a heated terrace.
Designer Julian Taylor has aimed to retain Revolución de Cuba’s colourful features to reflect the Latin-inspired food and drink offering.
Revolución de Cuba brand is driven by a Cuban-inspired premium proposition of rum-led cocktails, coupled with a Spanish/Mexican-based food menu and live Latin music and entertainment.
Mark McQuater, CEO of Revolution Bars Group, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing the Revolución de Cuba experience to Aberdeen and Reading. Our passion is to spread Cuba’s rich culture nationwide and we are pleased that vision continues to grow as we open more venues.”
