A UK cleaning products supplier is targeting substantial growth in its commercial hygiene business after launching a new professional dishwasher range.

Arrow Solutions, which manufactures the products at its factory in the East Midlands, unveiled the ‘DW’ brand recently, featuring five high performance dishwasher detergents and three rinse aids.

The new look is designed to provide a modern brand that is easy to recognise and provides clear number and colour identification.

It is part of a concerted marketing campaign to secure more than £1.5m of additional business, an approach that is already working, with the company recently winning long-term contracts with hotel groups, restaurant chains and schools and universities.

“Our dishwasher products have been winning a lot of admirers over the last 18 months for their performance and how competitive they are against their rivals, with sales up about 15% across the year,” said Shaun Thomas, head of sales commercial hygiene.

“What we wanted to do was create a powerful brand for the dishwasher range, one that is easy to recognise and can house the different products under a single family name, while also maintaining the company ethos of ‘setting the standard in cleaning and hygiene’.”

Commercial hygiene now accounts for more than a quarter of Arrow Solutions’ sales and it is expecting the marketing drive to grow this area of the business both in the UK and in key territories, such as Scandinavia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

Arrow Solutions’ dishwasher detergents and rinse aids are specifically designed to cover all aspects of commercial dishwashing, from hard and soft water areas to specific requirements such as aluminum safe and glass washer products.

All products are manufactured in the UK and have been formulated to provide optimal dishwasher performance and a ‘clean first time’ guarantee.

Jeremy Moore, product manager at Arrow Solutions, says the items are ideal for restaurant groups, hotel and leisure facilities, universities, schools, garden centres and other organisations where a commercial dishwasher may be used.

“Recent new customers have been very impressed with how the DW range performed against more recognised market brands,” he insisted.

“We are currently in talks with several large organisations and, at the same time as investing in the marketing, we have also increased our distribution network globally. That shows how serious we are about this sector and the difference we believe our technology and products can make.”

I wish the Shaun, Jeremy and the team at Arrow all the very best with the launch. Its very refreshing to see clear and concise labelling, with no fancy or weird product names, just clear labelling that states “what it is on the tin”
