Leon has hired ex-BBH ad agency star Kirsty Saddler for a new brand and marketing director role
‘Naturally fast food’ chain Leon has brought in Saddler to lead marketing for the brand, as it looks to double in size over the next year.
Saddler has spent 14 years in the advertising industry, most recently working at BBH (Bartle Bogel Hegarty) where she was head of strategy for the past seven years.
“People love Leon for its unique food, the brilliantly positive people who serve it and the brand. I think it’s time we shared the brand and our belief in the power of food in more different and inspiring ways with people,” said Sadler
Leon was founded in 2004 with an aim to make it possible for everyone to eat good food and was the first chain on the high street to serve porridge for breakfast.
The company has been champions of free-from food, and were the first to display nutritional symbols on their menus.
Leon now has 27 restaurants across the UK, most recently opening in Birmingham and Cheapside, and has a vision to become an international fast food business, with plans to open five more new stores in 2015 and many more in 2016.
