Kitchen maintenance specialist claims ISO first

Serviceline is the first of the Ali Group companies and, it believes, the first business in the UK catering equipment industry to achieve the ISO 50001 energy management standard.

Major hotel groups including Hilton and Marriott, universities, stadia operators and contract caterers operating in the UK have already qualified for the standard.

“ISO 50001 provides a framework to ensure that energy is better managed for the future, benefitting Serviceline as a company and improving efficiency and service for our customers,” said Serviceline MD Steve Elliott, pictured.

“But it also helps in achieving sustainability targets for the planet and our customers expect Serviceline to demonstrate that we have the same high standards in our business as they have in theirs.

“Serviceline works for the most prestigious foodservice organisations in the UK and it is imperative that we lead by example. The ISO 50001 Energy Management System is now added to our ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety portfolio.

Serviceline provides kitchen maintenance and repair services to a string of multi-site operators and catering establishments across the UK.
