British manufacturer Steelite International has extended its Melamine range with a line of gastronorm platters inspired by its Craft collection.
The new platters come in two designs, one based on the white Craft style and one plain white spiral design.
They have also been shaped to resemble Steelite International’s Taste plates, further linking the Melamine range with its core collections. The platters can be used to display both wet and dry foods, according to the firm.
Steelite has also added a selection of lids to cover all gastronorm platters, providing customers with the complete buffet or counter-top solution. It claims to be one of the few suppliers to offer a full suite of lids to cover every gastronorm size platter.
The recess on the covers and indented handles allow the platters to be stacked easily in a space saving and innovative way.
Heather Lovatt, head of marketing at Steelite, said: “Our Melamine range is proving more popular than ever, as operators are looking to present their buffet options in a way that is fresh and interesting. We have listened to what the industry wants and extended the collection to include new designs and practical presentation solutions to meet this growing need.”
Steelite International is a privately owned company which employs more than 1,000 people in the UK as well as more than 100 overseas. The company’s core chinaware products are manufactured at its factory in Stoke-on-Trent. Up to 500,000 pieces of ware are made every week.
