Catering equipment manufacturer Synergy Grill has revealed it will be giving away an energy-saving chargrill and garnish rail worth £2,240 in a prize draw at Hotelympia.
The SG630 model has been designed to produce succulent and tasty food with faster cooking times. It claims to cut gas bills by half and doesn’t need to be on all day therefore reducing the cost per plate. In addition there is no fat tray requiring a daily clean and no fatty waste to dispose of.
Visitors will be able to enter the prize draw at Synergy Grill’s stand with the winner announced on Synergy’s website on Friday 4 March. Anyone who purchases a Synergy Grill at the event on the day will be refunded the cost of the SG630.
Gary Evans, managing director of Active Food systems, said: “Chargrilling technology hasn’t changed in over 20 years. The Synergy Grill revolutionises chargrilling with intelligent cooking and unique benefits that can’t be found anywhere else which aligns with Hotelympia’s focus on innovation. This is the only product of this type in the world and it will be an asset to any kitchen in Britain.”
Synergy Grill’s technology has been adopted by Michelin starred chefs The Galvin Brothers in Galvin Hop and Cyrus Todiwala’s restaurant Assado.
Todiwala commented: “What I like most is the cleanliness aspect. That for me is the biggest aspect of all. The second aspect is ease of use. It’s very easy and less fussy. I don’t have to come in and start it first thing in the morning before service. You can start it, and then switch it off and start it and switch it off and start again. That means you save on everything – from heat to energy to everything else. The other great thing is how quick it is.”
