Target Catering Equipment releases induction cooking suite

Target Catering Equipment has unleashed a new cooking suite that is manufactured in the UK using the latest European induction technology.

The Target Chefs’ Range is a combination of modern induction and plancha cooking technology and standard cookline equipment, which the company says is designed to easily replace inefficient traditional gas-fired equipment.

The large flat cooking surface is multifunctional, allowing it to double up as a prep unit when not being used for cooking functions.

Gloucester-based Target says that having the cookware as the heating element means that all heat is directed into the produce in the pan, preventing spillages from being burnt onto the hob surface. Surfaces are designed to be easily wiped over to keep clean and the plancha is recessed with a water channel around it to prevent cooking debris burning onto it.

The Target plancha is made from 12.5mm-thick 304 stainless steel with temperatures in excess of 275°C radiating out from its centre and the option of flat or ribbed.

Extras include a plate and grill shelf over for additional storage, Blue Seal convection oven options situated directly under the hob and fast-action salamander rise and fall grills. Undercounter refrigeration options from Adande, Foster and Precision are also available.
